Many of the 4,500 residents in our community are third generation unemployed.
Employment - paid or unpaid - makes us feel useful; important. It develops our self esteem.
Voluntary activity is the major force in community regeneration.
By engaging, educating and empowering residents, we help locals define thier own community.

The Trust provides practical support for residents, agencies and authorities, delivered through a combination of ways including guidance, facilitation, resources, education and networking.
Through postive encouragement, tempered with realism, the Trust ensures that local developments are achievable, accessible, and sustainable.
We have a 'vision' of a healthy and welcoming community. A community where every member can access opportunity and reach thier own potential.
